Description

Join this soul-warming class with delicious, earthy flavors of mole and tamales. We’ll go over how to make them traditionally but with a lard-free masa dough, which will be vegan-friendly. We’ll also make chicken and vegan fillings, so you can make both for your holiday guests this year! Yum! I can’t wait to share these wonderful deep, savory flavors with you.

NOTES: You’ll need to soak the corn husks 1 day ahead. If making chicken filling, you’ll receive directions for how to cook the chicken ahead of class to have ready to make tamales.

*This class includes a quick mole sauce instead of a fully from-scratch version, due to time constraints. Stay tuned for a future class with a from-scratch version.

* *Please note, tamales will finish cooking after class is over, but we will discuss what they look like when they’re ready to serve.

Classes are family friendly and anyone in the household is welcome to join!

All virtual cooking classes are recorded. You can attend live, or watch the recording all participants receive later. Please give up to 3 days after class to receive the recording. By attending class, you consent to the class being recorded for future use by The Empowered Kitchen.
